How to use it
- Pick the pieces you want in the kit.
- Choose the material and the options (Thorns, Frost Walker, curses, level 255).
- Copy all commands and paste them one by one into chat or a command block.
Good to know
- For a survival god set, use the best builds pages: every piece has a pre-solved anvil order.
- Level 255 Protection does not make you invincible: damage reduction is capped.
- Curses are off by default: Curse of Binding would lock the armor on.

What god armor is
God armor is a full set with every useful enchantment at its max level: Protection IV, Unbreaking III and Mending on every piece, plus Respiration and Aqua Affinity on the helmet, Swift Sneak on the leggings and Feather Falling, Depth Strider and Soul Speed on the boots. See the best armor enchantments for the survival anvil order.
The commands need cheats. In survival you can build the same set with books: the enchantment calculator gives the cheapest anvil order for each piece.
What each piece gets
With the default options, the generator gives every piece all the non-curse enchantments it can hold. Where two enchantments exclude each other, it picks the usual favourite. Here is the full default kit:
- Helmet: Protection IV, Respiration III, Aqua Affinity, Thorns III, Unbreaking III, Mending.
- Chestplate: Protection IV, Thorns III, Unbreaking III, Mending.
- Leggings: Protection IV, Swift Sneak III, Thorns III, Unbreaking III, Mending.
- Boots: Protection IV, Feather Falling IV, Soul Speed III, Depth Strider III, Thorns III, Unbreaking III, Mending.
- Sword: Sharpness V, Sweeping Edge III, Fire Aspect II, Knockback II, Looting III, Unbreaking III, Mending.
- Pickaxe: Fortune III, Efficiency V, Unbreaking III, Mending.
- Axe: Sharpness V, Fortune III, Efficiency V, Unbreaking III, Mending.
- Spear: Lunge III, Sharpness V, Fire Aspect II, Knockback II, Looting III, Unbreaking III, Mending.
- Mace: Wind Burst III, Density V, Fire Aspect II, Unbreaking III, Mending.
- Bow: Power V, Flame, Punch II, Unbreaking III, Mending.
- Crossbow: Multishot, Quick Charge III, Unbreaking III, Mending.
- Trident: Channeling, Impaling V, Loyalty III, Unbreaking III, Mending.
- Elytra: Unbreaking III, Mending.
- Shield: Unbreaking III, Mending.
What the options change
- Thorns hurts mobs that hit you, but it also wears your armor faster. Mending covers the extra wear, so most players keep it.
- Frost Walker swaps out Depth Strider, because the two exclude each other. See Depth Strider vs Frost Walker to choose.
- Curses add Curse of Vanishing to every piece, plus Curse of Binding on anything you wear. Read the curses guide before you lock yourself into a set.
- Level 255 only raises enchantments with more than one level. Mending, Aqua Affinity and other level I enchantments stay at I.
- The weapon picks follow the same rule. The sword takes Sharpness over Smite, the mace takes Density over Breach, and the bow takes Mending over Infinity.
Which material to pick
Netherite and diamond both give 20 armor points for a full set, but netherite adds 12 toughness against 8 for diamond. Netherite also gives knockback resistance and doesn't burn in lava. Iron gives 15 armor and no toughness, so it is mostly for testing.
Toughness only matters against big hits. Against a 20-damage hit, full netherite lets 7.2 through, while diamond lets 8 through. The armor calculator runs the same maths for any hit.
Pasting the kit
Each piece gets its own /give command, because one command gives one kind of item. Copy all and paste them one at a time into chat. If a command is too long for chat, paste it into a command block and power it with a button instead.
Your inventory needs a free slot for each piece. Otherwise the extra items drop on the ground at your feet, so clear some space first.
Building the same set in survival
The god set is fully survival-legal, so you can build it with books. Using the cheapest order, the four armor pieces cost 183 levels in total, and no single anvil step costs more than 16. Here is the split per piece:
| Piece | Books | Anvil steps | Total levels | Biggest step |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Helmet | 6 | 6 | 45 | 14 |
| Chestplate | 4 | 4 | 28 | 12 |
| Leggings | 5 | 5 | 44 | 16 |
| Boots | 7 | 7 | 66 | 16 |
The hard part is the treasure books. Swift Sneak only comes from ancient city chests. Soul Speed comes from bastion remnant chests and piglin bartering. Mending is easy, because librarians sell it. The treasure guide covers the rest.
Questions
How do you get god armor in survival?
Collect the books (librarians, fishing, loot, the enchanting table), then combine them in the cheapest order with the calculator so nothing hits Too Expensive.
Do level 255 enchantments work?
Mostly. Protection above IV is still capped at 80% damage reduction in total, and some enchantments break at very high levels, but Sharpness, Efficiency and Unbreaking keep scaling.
Why does level 255 leave Mending at level I?
The generator only raises enchantments whose normal max is above I. Mending, Aqua Affinity, Silk Touch and other single-level enchantments stay at I.
How many levels does survival god armor cost?
About 183 levels for all four pieces if you follow the cheapest anvil order for each one. The enchantment calculator gives the exact steps.
Can you have Protection and Blast Protection on the same piece?
Not in survival: they exclude each other. A /give command can force both, but protection points still stop at 20, so there is little to gain.
Can you get god armor on Bedrock?
Bedrock /give cannot add enchantments. Use /enchant on each piece in your hand instead, which only goes up to the normal max levels.
